Is your infant struggling to cope with separation from you?
Are you concerned about your child's shyness or anxiousness and seeking effective strategies for positive change?
Children often experience anxiety as a natural response to unfamiliar or social situations. This anxiety can manifest through physical symptoms such as headaches, stomach aches, sleep disturbances, and restlessness.
These responses are survival mechanisms that may be triggered during significant stages like pregnancy, delivery, infancy, or following medical procedures. Consequently, parents might perceive their child as particularly sensitive or fussy.
When the body is unable to process a traumatic experience quickly enough, it stores the trauma in the tissues, particularly within the nervous system, to be addressed later when the body has more resources.
This storage of trauma can occur during critical periods such as pregnancy, delivery, infancy, or after medical interventions like surgery. Such intense events can impede a child's developmental progress, as the body diverts vital energy to manage the stored trauma, complicating the transition from active to calm states.
Understanding the origins of these reactions and their impact on your child's development is crucial. Effective strategies can be implemented to help manage anxiety and support your child's healthy and positive growth.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a transformative whole-body approach using light touch to foster a safe, grounded connection. It shifts the body from fight-or-flight to relaxation, releasing restrictions and revitalizing the nervous system and organs.
This therapy supports trauma release and promotes overall well-being, honouring the body's intelligence to make necessary adjustments for optimal health.

Heartwarming Experiences from Local Parent
My son was struggling with anxiety about trying new things, separation and sleep issues, and outbursts over what we believe to be minor things. It took him a long time to calm down. It was taking a long time to get him to sleep and staying in his bed all night, leaving me with no me time in the evening.
I was finding it hard to keep my cool with his outbursts and frustrating with his lack of ability to go places without having a meltdown before we left. It was frustrating for the whole family, causing tension in the home.
I had the first session. After, I felt calmer and more relaxed, and I found it easier to handle him and his outbursts. I noticed a difference after his first session, and even more so after the second one.
Things had changed. He still has some anxiety about trying new things; however, he seems a lot calmer. He might still be nervous or scared to do it; however, he will tell me that, and we will talk, and then he will give it a go.
He still has outbursts about some things, but the severity of his outbursts has lessened.
Some nights (especially the week after a session), he is going to sleep quicker, and he is coming into our room less at night. When I take him back to bed, he falls asleep quickly. The sessions have been helpful, and I am very happy. Jade
I am all about trying complementary methods, and I have found the sessions with Sandra to be very helpful. The sessions are non-invasive, and my son is happy to go; before, we needed lots of bribery to get him to try new things (sometimes with no success). With Sandra, he was happy to give it, and by the second session, he was even more relaxed.
I would strongly recommend you give it a go, as it has been one of the best things we have tried, and I have seen the success. I am looking forward to seeing more improvements in the sessions to follow.
"I truly hope that other mothers read this. I decided to get in touch with Sandra to see if she might help my child with his separation anxiety. He is four years old. His mental health was affecting the whole family, and I was trying to address my own mental health.
After she recommended that I attend the first session, I felt instantly more at ease and relaxed. My son also benefited from my reduced worry. We have already had three sessions: one with my son and two with me.
After three sessions, my son's anxiety attacks have decreased in frequency, and he has made progress in controlling his emotions and separation anxiety. I am very pleased with the improvements, which are helping us work towards getting my son into school full time, which will enable me to get back into the workforce once again. Skye
